THE TEAM

It was during the first Covid lockdown when we became interested in market gardening. Our landlord agreed to allow us to experiment on a small plot of land in exchange for a share of the produce. Our enthusiasm has grown ever since! The garden is managed by Will & Mercedes

THE GARDEN

Our ever expanding plot currently sits at a tiny 400m2 (0.1 acres).

Although this may seem small it affords us many advantages!

Our "no dig" style of farming promotes healthy growth enabling us to plant at high densities with very low maintenance all whilst being beneficial for the soil, it's biology and carbon capture.

OUR GOALS

We aim to produce high quality, nutritious food for the local community efficiently and economically using a more traditional approach to farming.

We farm naturally, compost our own horse manure and use recycled materials when possible to limit the impact on the local and wider environment.

LOCAL

Around 50% of the UK's fruit and vegetables are imported from overseas.

Buying locally and cutting out the middleman is not only good for the environment, the food is fresher, stores longer, is more nutrient dense and tastes better too!

FRESH

Our vegetables are harvested to order, on the day of delivery whenever possible.

SUSTAINABLE

Using natural methods and farming a small area allows us to work with great care using only hand tools and man powered gadgets, as a result consumption of fossil fuels is extremely limited. We limit the amount of packaging we use and use plastic alternatives.
